- The old layouts don’t perform as well as the new layouts in the job market. The new resume layouts get better results.
As you can see, the cons far outweigh the pros in terms of values for job applicants and employers. The old resumes have hit their use-by date. Even the new “combination” resumes, which are the upgraded modern version of the old general resumes, are very different from them in many ways.
The old resume layouts have definitely been superseded by the new. The new layouts are infinitely easier to edit and much more effective. They require less work to deliver better results.
